Head of Marketing and Growth

Here’s what you would be doing:

  1. Lead Generation: Your primary goal will be to source and schedule demos with potential customers (universities).  Our leads and demos to date have originated from three sources which you would be responsible for driving.  We are currently converting 50% of demos to trial and 50% of trials to paid. 

  2. Digital Inbound:  We would like to make ourselves easy to find by universities looking for a product like ours.  This would require paid internet search as well as earned internet search techniques such as search engine optimization, blogs, updates, press releases, newsletters and social media.  This could be done internally or by managing an outsourced vendor.

  3. Digital Outbound:  Outbound lead generation would involve researching professors and universities likely to be a good fit for our product and contacting them by email.  Requires basic research skills and effective writing to communicate with university professors which are mostly based in the United States.  This could be done internally or by managing an outsourced vendor.

  4. Face-to-face Conferences and Events:  We are invited to speak or exhibit at five to ten conferences per year and conduct workshops or talks at many institutions.  Conferences require advance preparation of applying and securing conference registrations, preparation of conference materials such as presentations and marketing materials, execution of the actual conference and follow up with leads generated at the conference.

Here’s what we would like to see you from you:

  1. Passion and motivation:  Desire to make a difference in education or at become a fantastic marketer for education.

  2. Willingness and ability to learn.

  3. Excellent communication skills:  You will be engaging with mostly university professors in the United States thus perfect written and spoken English is critical.

  4. Innovative solutions:  Demonstrate the ability to implement creative approaches to problems possibly using recent innovations in outbound sales.

  5. Versatility : Able to ‘wear many hats’ at the same time and willing to ‘roll up your sleeves’ to get the job done.

  6. B2B SAAS marketing experience is preferred: As a company that sells to universities, we would prefer candidates who have experience with B2B marketing before, preferably for a SAAS company.


Quality Assurance Engineer

Here’s what you would be doing:

  1. Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  2. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

  3. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

  4. Design and coordinate with developers to create automation scripts.

  5. Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.

  6. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  7. Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.

  8. Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify product requirements and customer support to constantly update Issue status.

  9. Monitor debugging process results.

  10. Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.

  11. Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.

  12. Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Here’s what we would like to see you from you:

  1. Proven work experience in software development

  2. Proven work experience in software quality assurance

  3. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

  4. Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  5. Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing

  6. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools

  7. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting

  8. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  9. Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

  10. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
