Business Development Executive

CognaLearn was founded to transform education by helping educators replace lectures with Team-Based Learning. Our award winning online team-based learning platform has been used by professors at institutions globally to deliver engaging collaborative learning experiences that develop the problem solving skills essential to succeed in the workforce. Five years after founding we have validated our product, need and business by delivering the world’s best and mostly widely used all-in-one online Team-Based Learning platform. We continue to grow rapidly and are now working to scale our impact.

We are looking for a Business Development Executive who will be based at our global headquarters in Singapore to help our Founder with all aspects of the business development and sales process. 

Overview of role

What You Will be Doing

  • Assist our founder with sales and business development for higher education institutions in the United States, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

  • Build relationships with our customers who are mostly university professors around the globe.

  • Manage account renewals, referrals, and expansions.

  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data. 

  • Identify and approach educators that may benefit from our platform.

What You Should Have

  • Track record of achieving personal and team goals.

  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.

  • Positive outlook and aptitude for relationships with educators and a global team.

  • Willingness and comfort with being a hands-on, organized, and detailed executor.

  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and solve problems creatively.

Nice to Have:  0-3 years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, preferably within education; bachelor’s degree or diploma and exposure to university professors in the United States.
